RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

• Ph. D Work: Full-time research leading to Ph.D. in the Faculty of Commerce, in the University of Kerala. Title of the topic- “Price discovery and market efficiency of commodity futures”.

• M Com - Academic Project: A comparative study on the profitability of the marketable forms of Natural Rubber”- sheet rubber and preserved latex.

RESEARCH PUBLICATIONS

• The article titled “Value Chain Analysis of Small Cardamom in Idukki District” has been published in the Journal “Management Researcher” in the issue on December ‘2013.

• The article titled “Indian Agriculture Sector and Commodity Futures Market” has been published in the journal “Yojana” (Malayalam) in the issue on June ‘2014.

• The article titled “Price Discovery of Gold in India and World Commodity Derivative Market” has been published in the Journal “Management Researcher” in the issue on July-Sep ‘2014.

1. Participated in the Seventh All India conference of KAAS held at Women’s Christian College, Nagarkovil, on September 16 & 17, 2011 and presented a paper titled, “ Indian Commodity Derivative Market and Price risk management in commodity value chain”

2. Participated in the National Seminar on Financial Sector Reforms and the Banking Industry in India- Opportunities and challenges, organised by the Department of commerce, University of Kerala, on February 23^rd & 24^th, 2012.

3. Participated in the National Seminar on Role of Parliament in enacting Business Laws in the Globalized World, on 23^rd and 24^th March 2012 at Government Guest House, Thiruvananthapuram, and presented the paper titled , “An Introduction to Hedging Agricultural commodities with Futures Trading”

4. Participated in the National Seminar on Tourism Industry an Indian Perspective held at Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT), Kovalam on September 26^th 2012.

5. Participated in the National Seminar on Research in Commerce-Innovative approaches and Emerging Trends, jointly organised by Kerala State Higher Education Council and department of Commerce, Mar Ivanios College on 1^st and 2^nd February 2013 and presented a paper titled “Ethics in Research”.

6. Participated in the National Seminar on “Recent trends in Capital Market and its effect on Commerce Industry & Economy of India”, organised by PG Department of Commerce, St.Pauls College, Kalamassery and Kerala Management Association on 25^th and 26^th February 2013, and presented paper titled “Commodity Price Risk Management Instruments”

Participated on National seminar on “Government’s Role in Awareness Creation on Entrepreneurship Among Women in India”, sponsored by the Directorate of Collegeiate Education, Government of Kerala, on 15^th and 16^th March 2013 at Government Guest house, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, and presented the paper titled “Assistance and Schemes for Women Entrepreneurship Development in India”

Participated in the International Seminar on Foreign Direct Investment-The Indian Scenario, organised by Department of Commerce, School of Business Management and Legal Studies, University of Kerala, on March 23^rd & 24^th, 2013 and presented paper titled “FDI in Indian Commodity Derivative Market”.

9. Participated and presented an article titled “Warehouse receipt financing-Special focus on Indian Agriculture” in two day Research Colloquium in Business Studies organised by the Department of Commerce, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University on 30^th and 31^st August 2013.

10. Participated in the National Conference on “Entrepreneurship Development through Educational Institutions” jointly organised by UGC and the Research and PG Department of Commerce, Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram on 25^th and 26^th October, 2013 and presented a paper titled “Role of Entrepreneurship Development in Education”.

12. Participated in the two day International Seminar on “Micro Finance – Opportunities and Challenges” organised by Department of Commerce, All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram, held on 7^th & 8^th February 2014, and presented a paper entitled “Emerging Trends in Micro Finance Sector”.

Participated in the UGC sponsored National Level Interdisciplinary One Week Workshop on “Time Series Econometrics” from March 17-22, 2014, organised by the Post Graduate Department of Economics, Panampilly Memorial Government College, Chalakkudy in association with CSES, Kochi, and also Presented a paper entitled “Price Discovery in the world Gold Future and Indian Commodity Market”.

14. Participated in the one day International Seminar of Swami Vivekananda Association of Science and Humanities (SWASH), held on 26^th April 2014, at Thiruvananthapuram, and presented a paper entitled “Regulatory Framework of Indian Commodity Future Market”.

15. Participated in the two day UGC Sponsored National Conference on Impact of Globalisation in the Performance of Micro and Small Enterprises in India, held on 26 -27 September ‘2014, at Department of Commerce, Scott Chiristian College, Nagarcoil, Tamil Nadu and presented a paper entitled “Post Globalisation Study on Small Scale Industries in India – Special Focus on Kerala”.

16. Participated in the two day National Confarence on International Financial Reporting Standared in the Indian Context, held on 16 -17^th January ‘2015, at PG department of Commerce, All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram, and presented a paper entitled “Hedge Accounting and Accounting Standards”
